NOW for Tomorrow | The Campaign for Misericordia University

Daniel J. Myers, Ph.D.

I am deeply honored and tremendously excited as I settle into my role as the 15th president of Misericordia University. The Misericordia community has been ever so welcoming and I look forward to getting to know those whose support and dedication has made it was it is today – a first-class institution of higher learning committed to the charisms and mission of the Sisters of Mercy.

No one is more excited than I am to see students make their way around the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Science Center, experiencing classes in state-of-the-art lecture rooms, collaborating with classmates and faculty in specially designed study rooms, and digging deep into scientific study in exceptional laboratories. What is most amazing is the melding of the new and the old, as the renovations to the original science center blend seamlessly with the new wing.

I offer my deepest appreciation to every contributor to Now for Tomorrow: The Campaign for Misericordia University, by far the largest and most successful fundraising effort in the university’s 97 years. With contributions topping $39 million, more than $9 million beyond the original goal, philanthropic support has elevated the university’s endowment, enhanced scholarship funding and provided much-needed support for the Misericordia Fund.

Please join us as we prepare to celebrate Misericordia’s 100th anniversary in 2024. Your support is crucial to helping us address the needs of the campus as we carry the mission of the Sisters into a second century.
